Lost Sea is one of the biggest underground lakes. More info here: http://thelostsea.com/
The tour takes about 40 minutes and it is super cool. There is also a boat ride involved and you can observe HUGE trout fish that lives there in the lake. What is interesting, there are some plants living there too, in almost total darkness! Yes, they started growing close to the lamps but still... I wish the pictures were of better quality but it was just too dark. In places, I could not see the ground I walked on!
Above, they have several cute little shops with hand-made old fashioned stuff. I would buy half of it probably but in the end I settled for an "attitude adjuster"... So funny!...

December
December was supposed to be slower with lots of time to relax. However, some things came up and before I knew, I ended up with almost no free time at all. Managed to have some fun though! The highlight was going to the English Country Dance group performance.
And I had a visitor...
Helen feeling lazy or rather thinking about some new mischief...
And finally, I hope to decorate the house for Christmas this weekend. So far, I have started with my lamp... :)

Running
I have been busier than usually for the last couple of weeks. Finishing all other projects, I had no time for painting. Somehow however, I found time for running! Since I need something to keep me motivated, I signed up for the last race this calendar year, and actually I won an award!
The day of the race was also the first day of a cold weather. I was glad I took all my plants inside the day before. The temperature dropped horribly and overnight I went from T-shirt to woolen sweaters, scarfs, and hats. For this reason, I was very happy to receive a package with my 5-finger woolen socks a few days earlier than planned! Regular socks do not fit into Vibram 5-finger shoes. Although it may be seen as a lame excuse, this is why I ran in traditional shoes during the race: had no proper socks and it was too cold to use Vibrams on bare feet. You probably could use ANY 5-finger socks but since I run long distance (over 6 miles), good quality is super important. Well, unless I wanted to get some ridiculous and painful blisters!!!!

Opening Reception
Opening Reception night!
It was perfect. The gallery did a great job, I was really impressed. So many people! By 9 p.m., I almost lost my voice from all this talking but I did enjoy it. Everyone was super-nice and supportive. Sold some works already- yay! - so now the plan is just to relax and focus on other stuff going on.

Done!
Today is somewhat slow. All my works are at the gallery and suddenly it feels like I have LOTS OF TIME.

I cleaned. I also played with special effects a little.
But overall it was less fun than I thought it would be, so I went out and... raked some leaves.
Nothing like being productive! :)

Have you tried to make any Halloween food this year?

Halloween is coming!
Okay, so I have decided I cannot be THAT lazy (after writing Lazy Wednesday post, the laziness continued for a few more hours) and decorated a room for upcoming Halloween. Going to make some "severed-finger cookies" for the weekend. The cookies look really creepy, with dirty and bloody fingernails made of almonds. Hope they are yummy- never tried the recipe... :)
And here is one of my cats- just in time!
